RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Course
The RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Course is designed to help you pass the RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore Exam. Before joining the course, you will have to pass a practical examination showing your skippering capabilities. To be a Yachtmaster, you will need to be an experienced coastal skipper and be able to run things smoothly for longer periods even in difficult conditions.
During the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore course, the candidates will revise the theory and practical subjects for five days with knowledgeable and certified RYA Yachtmaster instructors. The instructors will work along with you to assess your strengths and the areas that need a little coaching to pass the examination successfully. You will be briefed on your progress and be able to work on your weaker areas before taking the exams. The course content includes navigation by day and night, close quarters handling under power and sail, pilotage by day and night, man overboard recovery and advanced skippering management techniques.
